Capsicum chinense
(Pepper, Sweet)
Annual | 55 Days to Mature | Sweet
I was intrigued by the shape, color and taste of this sweet pepper. Pinetree states:
This is a Brazilian pepper, ‘bee-kee-nyo’, which means ‘little beak’, is a 1” pointed, yellow pepper. The Biquinho Yellow Pepper is marginally tart with a tiny bit of heat. They are more often than not pickled in vinegar but can be eaten raw or cooked. Pop them into your mouth for a burst of almost fruity tang with a delightful crunch.
First purchased in November 2025 for the 2026 growing season. Growing this again!
Seed Source: Pinetree Garden Seeds and Baker Creek. Note descriptions of the variety are different on each site.
